About RawenView

RawenView turns a drone flight log into something you can watch. This page says who runs it, how it works, and how to reach a human — because you are being asked to upload your flight data, and you should know where it lands.

What RawenView does

Upload a flight log — ArduPilot dataflash .bin, PX4 ULog, MAVLink telemetry .tlog, a DJI Fly flight record, or a plain GPX track — and RawenView reconstructs the flight in 3D over real terrain. Add the onboard video from the same flight and it plays back locked to the replay clock, so the picture and the telemetry always agree.

Around that sit the things you need for a debrief: charts of any logged parameter, a table of detected events, weather at the time of flight, an AI assistant that answers questions grounded in your own telemetry, and PDF, CSV and KML export.

The replay is your data, not a simulation

This is the design decision everything else follows from. Position comes from linear interpolation between logged samples, attitude from spherical interpolation between logged quaternions, and propeller rates from the recorded per-motor outputs. There is no physics model anywhere in the replay.

That means nothing on screen is inferred, smoothed into plausibility, or filled in. If the log did not record it, the replay does not show it. A gap in the data stays a gap. For a tool people reach for after a crash, a convincing reconstruction that is subtly wrong is worse than an obvious hole — so we would rather show you the hole.

What it is not

RawenView is a reconstruction and analysis tool, not an automated diagnosis engine. It will not tell you your crash was caused by vibration clipping. It shows you the flight, puts the numbers next to it, and lets you reach that conclusion yourself.

For parameter-level tuning work, the established tools remain better at their jobs: Mission Planner and the ArduPilot UAV Log Viewer for dataflash logs, PX4's Flight Review for ULog. RawenView is built to sit alongside them, and several of them are free — use whichever answers your question.

Your flight data

Flights are private by default. A flight becomes publicly viewable only when you choose to share it, and you can make it private again at any time. Nothing is published on your behalf.

Accounts and uploaded flights are stored on servers in Sweden. Passwords are hashed with Argon2id and never stored in a recoverable form, and third-party credentials such as a DJI FlightHub API key are encrypted at rest and never sent back to the browser. The Privacy Policy sets out in full what is collected, who it is shared with, and how to delete it.

Who runs it

RawenView is a small, independent product — not a venture-funded platform, and not a side project of a hardware vendor. There is a free tier that does not ask for a card, and paid plans that raise the storage and flight limits; every plan includes the full replay and analysis toolset. The roadmap is shaped mostly by what people ask for.

If something is broken, wrong, or missing, mail us. Bug reports from people who read logs for a living are the most useful thing we receive.
